The Board of Directors of the parent company, Kommunal Landspensjonskasse (KLP), has eight members. Five members and their deputies are elected by those members of the Supervisory Board that are elected by the General Meeting. Two members are elected by and from the KLP staff. One member is nominated by the employee organisation with most members in KLP pension schemes.

Board chairman
Arne Øren was re-elected board chairman of KLP May 2010. He was the county mayor of Østfold between 1991 and 2007, and was mayor of Rolvsøy between 1982 and 1991. He holds a degree in science from the University of Oslo.

Finn Jebsen
Deputy Chair
Finn Jebsen was re-elected Deputy Chair of KLP's Board of Directors May 2009. He has broad industrial experience from the Orkla Group where he worked from 1980 - 2005. Mr Jebsen was the Orkla Group CEO between 2001 and 2005. He was educated an economist from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH) and has a MA in Business Administration from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Ann Inger S.Døhl
Ann Inger S. Døhl was re-elected to the Board of Directors of KLP on May 2009. She is Managing Director of Malvik E-verk (a power station) and a limited company wholly owned by Malvik Local Authority. She was educated at Trondheim Engineering College (Trondheim Ingeniørhøyskole) , Trondheim College of Economics (Trondheim Økonomiske høyskole) and the Norwegian School of Management BI's Center for Manager Training (BI Senter for lederutdanning).

Gunn Marit Helgesen
Gunn Marit Helgesen was re-elected a board member of KLP May 2010. She is county mayor of Telemark and up until this year she was chair of the supervisory board.

Jan Helge Gulbrandsen
Jan Helge Gulbrandsen was elected to the Board of Directors of KLP March 2010. He is AU-member of Fagforbundet, a trade organisation, and represents the employee organisation with most members in KLP pension schemes.

Herlof Nilssen
Herlof Nilssen was re-elected to the Board of Directors of KLP May 2010. Mr Nilssen is Managing Director of Helse Vest (the state health organisation for the West of Norway). He has previously worked as Municipal Chief Executive of Sveio Municipality and of Randaberg Municipality, and as Managing Director of Haga Nor. He was educated at Stavanger Engineering College (Stavanger Ingeniørhøyskole) and at the Norwegian University College in Engineering, NTH.

Freddy Larsen
Freddy Larsen was elected to the Board as a KLP employee representative in May 2009. He has been an employee of KLP since 1986 and works as a special consultant at IT-Liv at our Bergen office. Freddy Larsen has previous experience from his work in the Alcohol and Drug Addiction Service (Uteseksjonen) and in the Technical Service of the Municipality of Askøy from 1985 to 1986.

Thorvald Hillestad
Thorvald Hillestad is a permanent deputy. He is Chairman of the Municipal Council of Re Municipality and represents the Centre Party. Mr Hillestad is a member of KLP's Supervisory Board.
