Carbon Disclosure Project
11.08.2009
"What gets measured gets managed" they say. And so companies are encouraged to measure and report their greenhouse gas emissions and to identify opportunities and challenges caused by climate changes.
The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) asks companies all over the world about how they look at their own opportunities regarding climate changes and what type of climate strategy and action plan for emission reduction the company has. In its annual survey CDP also asks the companies to report on their emission of greenhouse gases.
CDP is an important initiative continually increasing the quality of data made available to investors. KLP has therefore decided to be CDP's Norwegian partner.
CDP is supported by 475 of the world's largest investors, including several Norwegian. In total the investors are managing assets of USD 55 trillion.
In 2009 the survey went out to Norwegian and Nordic companies for the third time.
